Solar fence panels provide a special kind of privacy screen: they combine their conventional use as a partition element with the option to sustainably generate energy. With its recently unveiled in-house models, the company Richard Brink provides plenty of scope for individual design concepts and installation scenarios, such as the choice between a vertical or horizontal orientation of the solar modules. This opens up various possibilities for sustainable energy generation along garden and property lines in private and public settings alike.
Clever system from base to grid
The solar modules are fixed between the respective fence posts, which give the solution a stable basis. The posts feature clamp mounts that hold the modules securely in place while preventing damage to their surface. The high-quality stainless-steel constructions impress with their matt blasted surface, presenting the perfect counterpart to the dark solar panels both technically and visually. The feet with flange plates in the base section make the fence extra stable, weather-resistant and durable. The posts can be screwed into either a point or strip foundation at their feet. Alternatively, the screw plates can also be set directly in the foundation.
In place of the 450-watt solar modules, customers can choose to insert high-quality stainless-steel panels between the fence posts as partition elements. These also function as made-to-measure fitting pieces used to achieve the exact fence length required at the installation site. Besides this, the back of the solar modules can be fitted with bespoke stainless-steel covers that feature ventilation slots to prevent heat accumulation. The optional rear cover almost completely conceals the cables, which run through the cable channels integrated into the fence posts as standard, and make for a clean appearance.
With its solar fence, Richard Brink GmbH & Co. KG provides a comprehensive complete package comprising posts with the respective mounts, solar modules, compatible microinverters and cables, as well as optional fitting pieces and rear covers, all of which come ready for installation. On request, modules provided by other manufacturers in different sizes can also be accommodated using the clamp holders. For plug-and-play solar installations used in the same way as a balcony power plant, up to two modules can be series-connected; if several modules are to be connected in a series, the metal products manufacturer recommends hiring trained professionals.
